NAGAMU PURAVARA” SUCCESSFULLY IMPLEMENTED FOCUSING DEVELOPMENT OF COLOMBO CITY

The National Housing Development Authority (NHDA) states that several projects of the ‘Nagamu Puravara’ programme has been speedily implemented to provide basic amenities for under served settlements in the city of Colombo, with the concept of His Excellency  President Mahinda Rajapakse.

This was said by Minister of Housing of Sri Lanka, Mr. Gitanjana Gunawardena at the Annual Sessions of Sri Lanka Institute of Architects which was held in Colombo recently.

United Nations has declared first Monday of the month of October of each year as “World Habitat Day”.  This year the World Habitat Day was celebrated on 05^th October under the theme “Planning our Urban Future”  by countries all over the world including Sri Lanka.
