The main objective of this unit is to create an awareness among the public through print and Electronic media on Housing Development Programme implemented by the NHDA.

During the year 2003 IPU has implemented various media campaigns and media coverages on different types of housing programmes with the assistance of Print and Electronic Media.  To implement this activities, IPU has prepared leaflets, booklets, brochures,  and other media reports. 

With the celebrations of the World Habitat Day 2003, IPU has organized Habitat Day Exhibition, Art and Essay Competition for school children, various awareness programmes with the assistance of Media.

Sewana Media Service (SMS)

SMS is presently functioning under the Information & Publicity Division and it’s the only Advertising Agency affiliated to the government organization.

In the year 2003, SMS covered all newspapers advertisements of 22 Client organizations which includes all Public Institutions, Corporations and Boards of the Ministry of Housing & Plantation Infrastructure and several other organizations

In the year 2003 SMS has earned an income of Rs. 24 million and their profit is Rs.  2.3 Million.

Printing Unit

 In the year 2003 the Printing Unit has covered most of the official printing work of the NHDA.

 Within the year 2003 Printing Unit has done Rs. 950,000/- worth of printing work of the NHDA.
