“The unity among the all communities is very essential when finding solutions to the national problems faced by our country and such unity create with the Vesak Bakthi Gee programme with the participation of the staff members representing every ethnic communities.”    This was said by the Minister of Housing & Common Amenities, Mrs. Ferial Ashraff at the inauguration of the Jana Sevana Vesak Bakthi Gee Sedewa which held at the premises of the Head Office of the National Housing Development Authority (NHDA) recently (01^st May).

 This Bakthi Gee programme was held with the participation of the staff members of Ministry of Housing & Common Amenities, NHDA, Condominium Management Authority (CMA) and National Equipment & Machinery Organization (NEMO).  This programme conducted under the guidance of the Minister Mrs. Ferial Ashraff with the participation of staff members representing every ethnic community.

 Minister of Religious Affairs, Mr. Pandu Bandaranayaka, Ven. Rambukkana Siddhartha Thera, Rev. Fr. Earnest Poruthota and religious dignitaries of Muslim and Hindu participated on this occasion.

 Visharada  Edward Jayakody conducted the Bakthi Gee programme and music directed by Mr. Rohana Weerasinghe.  Mr. Kumaradasa Saputhanthri has coordinated the entire programme and the staff members of the above institutions have presented their Bakthi Gee along with best singers such as Mr. Sunil Edirisinghe, Mr. Somathilaka Jayamaha, Miss Deepika Priyadarshini Peiris and Mr. Ishaq Beg.

 Secretary to the Ministry of Housing & Common Amenities, Mr. W.B.Ganegala, Chairman of NHDA Mr. Mohamed Rafeek, Chairman of CMA Mr. Abdul Kalam and several senior government officials participated on this occasion.
