The progress review meeting of the National Housing Development Authority was held by the new secretary of the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing,  It was held yesterday (21) in the institute auditorium under the chairmanship of Mr. W.S.Satyananda.

W.S. Satyananda as the new secretary of the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing. Mr. Satyananda started his duties yesterday morning. After assuming office, the new secretary first visited the National Housing Development Authority.

Here, the officials informed the secretary about the purpose, procedure and structure of the institution, the projects currently being implemented and future plans.

In addition to the main office in Colombo, the National Housing Development Authority has 25 district offices and 2 suburban offices. The National Housing Development Authority implements a number of housing and loan programs, including the House for You - Ratata Hetak Housing Program, Mihidu Housing Program, Siapatha Housing Program.

National Housing Development Authority Chairman Rajeev Suriyarachchi, Vice Chairman Lakshman Gunawardena, General Manager K.A. Mr. Janaka and a group of officials including Deputy General Managers participated in this event.
