According to the Prosperity Vision Policy Statement ... many more housing projects open to the public.
Under the leadership of President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa's Vision Prosperity Policy, the National Housing Development Authority (NHDA) has implemented 12 more housing projects for low income families in the Meethotumulla..Singhapura..Kohilawatta area in Kolonnawa. .
The opening of such houses, laying the foundation stone for new houses and handing over cash checks were held at several locations today under the patronage of the Chairman of the Housing Development Authority R. Duminda Silva.
Chairman of the Housing Development Authority R. Dumindha Silva addressed the gathering.
Mr. Duminda Silva said that the President and the Prime Minister will always work to make the provision of housing for the people a success.
Housing recipients expressed their gratitude to the government

"Obata Geyak-Ratata Hetak" The inaugural ceremony of the 2022 Hambantota District National Housing Program was held today at the Tangalle Municipal Council Hall under the patronage of His Excellency the Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.Granting Housing Assistance Checks amounting to Rs. 388.200 million to 588 beneficiaries under the "Oba Geyak - Ratata Hetak" Housing Scheme, Giving checks amounting to Rs. 12.615 million to 24 beneficiaries under the Sevana Housing Assistance Program, 14 beneficiaries under the Mihindu Niwana Housing Program 7.100 million housing assistance checks were handed over at the event.
This is being implemented by the National Housing Development Authority under the State Ministry of Rural Housing and Construction and Building Material Industry Promotion.
Minister of Irrigation and State Minister of Defense and Home Affairs Chamal Rajapaksa, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Namal Rajapaksa, Minister of State for Aviation and Export Zonal Development DV Chanaka, Governor of the Southern Province Dr. William Wijesinghe Gamage, Hambantota District Parliamentarian Ajith Rajapaksa, Keerthi Ranjith Abeysiriwardena, Secretary to the State Ministry of Rural Housing and Construction and Building Industry Promotion, Hambantota District Secretary H.S. P. Mr. Sumanasekera,
Mr. Duminda Silva, Chairman, National Housing Development Authority, Mr. K.A. Mr. Janaka and a number of government officials including members of the Board of Directors were present.

With the intervention of the Embassy of India to set up a new tile factory in the country as a solution to the current shortage of tiles in the market and the inadequacy of tiles produced by local tile factories, officials of Kera Vitrify Tile Company, India's 2nd largest tile manufacturer An initial discussion was held today at the auditorium of the State Ministry of Rural Housing and Construction and Building Material Industry Promotion.
The High Quality and High Quality Tiles are currently being imported and distributed in Sri Lanka through the Building Materials Corporation under the State Ministry of Rural Housing and Construction and Building Material Industry Promotion.
Instead of importing tiles into the country, the government intends to set up a new tile factory in the country using local raw materials. It was also decided to sign a Memorandum of Understanding in this regard within a month.

 Awarding of Housing Assistance Checks to 12 Parents of Beneficiary Monks Selected for the “Mihindu Niwahana” Project, Awarding of Checks to 183 Beneficiaries under the “You Have a Home - Ratata Tomorrow” Housing Assistance Program, Checks for 71 Beneficiaries under the Flood Housing Program Granting of checks to 33 beneficiaries under the Low Income Housing Assistance Project Program.
 
 
 
 
 

Laying of the foundation stone for 20 new houses in Wellampitiya, Kolonnawa, Gothatuwa and Mulleriyawa in the Kolonnawa electorate and the completion of two completed houses were declared open today under the patronage of the Hon. Chairman of the Housing Development Authority R. Dumina Silva. The Chairman stated that the main objective of President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa is to make the dream of housing of the people a reality and that he is committed to fulfilling the aspirations of the people by fulfilling it expeditiously. A large crowd gathered for the occasion.

Chairman of the Housing Authority R. Dumindha Silva laid the foundation stone for the opening of 2 houses and the construction of 10 new houses constructed under the housing assistance of the Kolonnawa electorate under the '"Obata Geyak Ratata Hetak", a country tomorrow' housing project. The event was well attended.

The foundation stone for a house was laid today for the inauguration ceremony of the Ratnapura District under the Mihindu Niwasa Housing Scheme. Pavithra Wanniarachchi, Hon. Minister of Transport and Indika Anuruddha, Hon. Minister of State for Housing. The Hon. Chairman of the Housing Authority Mr. R. Dumindha Silva and many other invitees and residents of the area participated in this event.

The handing over of housing assistance and housing loan checks worth Rs. 115 lakhs to 69 beneficiaries in the Divulapitiya Divisional Secretariat Division at the commencement of the new year was held today at the Maradagahamula Office, Divulapitiya.
At this event, Rs. 4 million housing assistance checks were handed over to 27 beneficiaries under the "You have a home - Rata Hetak" housing assistance program and Rs. 7.5 million housing loan checks were handed over to 42 beneficiaries for housing repairs under the housing loan program. This housing assistance program and housing loan program is implemented by the National Housing Development Authority under the State Ministry of Rural Housing and Construction and Building Material Promotion.


Construction of New House at Nittambuwa, Kattota, Nittambuwa, Attanagalla Divisional Secretariat, Gampaha District under the "Obata Geyak - Ratata Hetak" National Housing Program jointly implemented by the State Ministry of Rural Housing and Construction and Building Material Industry Promotion and the National Housing Development Authority Was done.
Simultaneously 86 housing beneficiaries and housing loan checks were awarded to 86 beneficiaries in the Attanagalla Divisional Secretariat Division in the Gampaha District under the "You have a home - Rata Hetak" National Housing Program and Housing Loan checks and housing loan checks for 21 beneficiaries. Housing loan checks were also awarded to 65 beneficiaries for repairing houses under the program. In addition, all the beneficiaries were given coconut saplings.
This program is being implemented under the guidance and guidance of His Excellency the Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, Cabinet Minister, Ministry of Rural Housing, Construction and Building Industries. The 'Towards a Home - Rata Hetak' program launched today launched the 'Towards a Green World of Eco-Friendly Organic Fertilizer' in the home gardens of the houses handed over to the people.

 

According to a concept of His Excellency the President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, a housing development program for low income families was launched on November 27, 2021 in Kolonnawa under the 'Obata Geyak - Ratata Hetak' housing development program.
Duminda Silva, Chairman of the National Housing Development Authority laid the foundation stone for the houses of 10 beneficiary families to be constructed in the Kolonnawa area under this program.
