Engineering Services and Housing Construction Division is involved in Design work of Architectural, Structural, Electrical & Infrastructure and Project Management services related to the housing projects belonging to NHDA. Housing projects are of using forms ranging from Satellite Township in suburban areas to low to high-rise apartment complexes in urban areas.

Further, this Division provides Consultancy Services and Project Management Services for other Organizations.

NHDA, being a professional organization recognized by the Sri Lanka Institution of Engineers, possess a well-qualified team of professionals in Architectural, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Quantity surveying, backed by the support of well-qualified and skilled technical officers, AutoCAD draughts persons and other supporting staff.

At present the division is well equipped with modern technological appliances to under take the sophisticated engineering and architectural planning and design work.

Planning, designing & construction of housing scheme and related infrastructure development.
Preparation of Project reports, feasibility studies, Guidelines & Technical Reports for the housing development programs.
Preparation of Tender Documents, Tendering and Awarding of Contracts.
Obtaining statutory approvals for all Construction works.
Carryout all Maintenance works & urgent repair works of condominiums vested with the Authority.
Renovation & Maintenance of all Electrical & Civil works including new constructions in NHDA head office, District officers, Circuit bungalows & Preadeepa halls.
Extending technical guidelines & assistance to district officers for all technical activities and certification of Estimates.
Provide Architectural, Structural and project management services in any kind of building projects on consultancy basis.
Renovation & Maintenance of pumping stations in walkup apartments within the Colombo Municipal Council limit by Emergency Maintenance Unit.
Conducting training Modules/Workshops for district officers to upgrade the technical knowledge and share the experiences.
Implement the “Nagamu Purawara” program to improve the basic infrastructure facilities in Underserved settlement within the Colombo Municipal Council.
